Google Launchpad’s Solve for India was aimed to nurture developers and tech entrepreneurs. This four day mentorship program was driven by the Google Developer Relations team. The purpose was to support promising startups to achieve meteoric progress within a short period of time through one-on-one mentorship from Google and Industry Experts.
After running a year-long pilot through its Solve for India program, Paul Ravindranath G, Program Manager, Launchpad Accelerator, Google India said that it would select 8-10 startups for this program.
LegalDesk.com was listed among one of the 15 startups that were listed in the first batch of passionate entrepreneurs by Google Launchpad in Solve for India 2018. The program engaged with startups that are solving local problems related to agriculture, microfinance, environment, local language services, healthcare, education, and retail.
Over the past year with this mentor network of over 200 people, the Internet giant engaged with at least 10,000 entrepreneurs and developers from local startups that were striving to solve local problems and needs through this initiative before narrowing down on the selected startups.
Ravindranath also said that they had learnt a lot through the pilot. Google India further created a mentorship network to resolve challenges faced by the startups that they engaged with.
The four-day mentorship program focused on areas such as product strategy, UX and UI, marketing with special attention towards technology covering Android/Firebase, Cloud, Web. The chosen few startups received mentorship and actionable-advice from experts including Muzayun Mukhtar, NBU User Experience Research Lead and Amrit Sanjeev, Developer Advocate at Google.
On the last day of the program, Abhinav Chetan spoke about how and why startups should ‘think Digital’ for their brand. Krupesh, Founder at LegalDesk.com highlighted the key aspects behind the essence of LegalDesk.com.
